MGCC: MGA Register, Autumn Weekend, Norwich, Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th September

This will be the first time the MGA Register have run a tour in North Norfolk – even the 50th Anniversary Round Britain Tour missed it off! Entrants can look forward to some beautifully unique scenery, including the Norfolk Broads – a unique series of lakes and waterways formed from medieval peat diggings. Alongside the incredible landscape, Norfolk is also home to the Sandringham estate, Burnham Market (birthplace of Lord Nelson), and Norwich, the home of Colman’s mustard. Our main hotel for the weekend will be the Park Farm Hotel in Hethersett. The event is being organised by David Simons, and he can be contacted on 01362 858976 or davidsimons55@gmail.com if you are still interested in the weekend tour.

MGCC: Caledonian Centre, Two Day Tour, Trossachs, Saturday 24th – Sunday 25th September

This year’s tour will be based in the heart of the Trossachs with the overnight stay at the Macdonald Forrest Hills Hotel & Spa, Kinlochard. We will leave from The Bowtrees Restaurant, Airth (Premier Inn) at 10:30am. The restaurant will be open for bacon rolls, tea and coffee from 9:15am. The Booking Fee of £15 per car will be payable on the day of sign on.

Day one will take us through West Fife, Dunning, and Findo Gask to our lunch stop at The Famous Grouse. The afternoon will take us to Kingshouse and onto Balquidder. From there we head to our overnight stop at Forrest Hills Hotel.

Day Two on Leaving the Hotel will head for the Inversnaid Hotel viewpoint, returning back the same road through Aberfoyle, Buchlyvie to Drymen for our Lunch Stop and then to the finish venue at the King Robert Hotel in Stirling.

After Lunch we head for Balloch, Croftammie, and the Campsie Fells passing the Carron Valley Reservoir to the finish in Stirling. Dinner, bed and breakfast is £150 per room two sharing, and single is £125 per room. For late space, please contact David Reid on mgcc.caleychair@btinternet.com.

MGCC: MGF Register, London Tunnels & Bridges Charity Run, Saturday 24th September

How many other events run in such an iconic place? Britain’s capital city, a special and historic place that comes alive at night. London is a delight lit up, most of it’s famous landmark sights are illuminated and the traffic is surprisingly light during the early evening so we take the opportunity to show you this on 24th September. Traditionally the start point is at Simon’s Diner, situated in the parking area of Wimbledon Stadium in south west London not far from the river. The address is 94 Summerstown, Wimbledon SW17 0BH. MGCC: South East Centre, Autumn Gathering, Eastern Counties Motor Club, Wethersfield, Sunday 25th September

For this year’s 2016 MGCCSE“Autumn Gathering, we return back to the very popular National Trust owned Polesden Lacey – a large Edwardian house, with 1400 acres and breathtaking views of the Surrey Hills and where the future King George VI and Queen Elizabeth spent their honeymoon in 1923. Only four miles from Dorking and Junction nine of the M25, it’s the ideal space for showing off your MG and relaxing with fellow members, friends and family. MGCC: Vintage Register, Guernsey Tour, Sunday 25th – Friday 30th September

This event starts with a channel crossing by Condor Ferries from Poole in Dorset to Guernsey, taking the ferry on the Sunday morning, then drive to the hotel with the day free for rest or independent sightseeing.
