What’s on this bank holiday weekend 27th, 28th, 29th August

MGCC: Caledonian Centre, Fun Day & BBQ, The Steadings, Yetts o’ Muckart, Sunday 28th August 

To be held at David & Fiona Chapman’s home. David and Fiona have kindly let us have the use of their field to hold the Fun Day and BBQ.

You will also have the opportunity to see around David and Fiona’s spectacular garden, which was featured on BBC Scotland’s Beechgrove Garden some years ago, and is listed in Open Gardens book.

Now 20 years old, this south-facing rural garden, situated at the foot of the Ochil Hills, continues to develop and rejuvenate. Curvaceous paths meander through a variety of terraced beds and ponds planted with a wide range of seasonal plants and species trees to give all year colour and interest.

The day will consist of some easy, fun driving test which are not competitive but will test your driving skills.

At lunchtime we will have the Gazebo and BBQ set up to provide burgers and banger rolls with some sweet things to follow. As normal, tea and coffee will be available all day.

Please come along even if you don’t want to take part in the skill side, watching can just be as enjoyable and chatting to like minded members.

MGCC: South East Centre, Autumn Gathering, Surrey, Sunday 28th August 

For this year’s Autumn Gathering, the South East Centre return back to the very popular National Trust owned Polesden Lacey. Here you’ve got the large Edwardian house, with 1400 acres and breathtaking views of the Surrey Hills and where the future King George VI and Queen Elizabeth spent their honeymoon in 1923. It’s only 4 miles from Dorking and junction 9 of the M25, and it’s the ideal space for showing off your MG and relaxing with fellow members, friends and family. MGCC: Yorkshire Centre, Dales Run, Surrey, Sunday 28th August 

The MG Car Club Yorkshire Register is pleased to announce the 2016 Dales Run. The run, which supports our chosen charity The Yorkshire Air Ambulance, is open to MGs of any type and age, classic sports cars and classic motorcycles.

Start time will be 10am from the Bay Horse, Bradley, Skipton, where complimentary tea and coffee will be provided from 8:30am onwards, plus the opportunity to purchase other refreshments. Following the event, the run will return to the Bay Horse. As previously, a discounted rate for all MGCC members will apply.
