MGCC: Caledonian Centre, Curry Run, Friday 23rd June
This is a new event to the calendar which takes place in the evening consisting of a short run finishing with an evening meal. The Curry run will start at the Stables in Kirkintilloch G66 1RH and then go via Torrance over the Campsie Hills using the Crow Road onto Fintry, passing through Thornhill to Doune and then finishing at the India Gate Restaurant in Dunblane FK15 0EY opposite the Dunblane Golf Club around 7.30/8.00pm. The meal cost will be approximately £20 per head for 4 courses buffet style and there is a £5.00 per Person entry fee for the run. For more information please see the Caledonian Centre’s website.
The MG Car Club Deutschland, International 21st Z Magnette Day, Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th June
The MG Car Club Deutschland have planned another international Z Magnette Day alongside the Magnette Register that will be taking place at Salzburger Seenland. The Salzburger Seenland is an attractive setting for holidays, culture, sporting activities in nature and active recreation. The region invites you to relax with its lakes, meadows and forests. The scenic beauty of the lake landscape is complemented by the world-famous Mozart town Salzburg and the Austrian Alps in the immediate vicinity. Four beautiful lakes, Wallersee, Mattsee, Grabensee, Obertrumer See, with drinking water quality are embedded in a slightly hilly landscape. Gorgeous low-traffic roads close the region.
On Friday afternoon the group will take a tour of the Lake District before dinner at Seestraße 14. On Saturday there will be a tour of Salzburg, and a ride to the old town including a visit to the legendary Gaisberg race, and Hellbrunn Castle. On Sunday the event finishes after breakfast, but people are advised to visit the Porsche museum in Mattsee or take a tour of Salzburg. For more information please see the Magnette Register website.
MGCC: MGs on Track, Castle Combe, Monday 26th June
MGs on Track has two events this coming weekend. On Friday they’ll be up at Croft, and on Monday back down at Castle Combe. There are still plenty of spaces left for Monday’s track day in Chippenham.
