Visit From Ian Grant

WE GET lots of visitors here at Kimber House, and yesterday was no exception. We were very pleased to meet club member Ian Grant, who is visiting the UK all the way from Auckland, New Zealand.

Ian is the Historian for the New Zealand MGC register and will be a guest speaker at the MG ‘C’ Weekend in Salisbury this weekend. Quite appropriately Ian has hired a fantastic MGC Roadster from Vintage Classics so he can arrive in style.

Ian plans to make the most of his time in the UK, visiting many historical landmarks and of course the Heritage Motor Centre, where he plans to locate as many build registers as possible for club members back home.

Ian has owned many MG’s over the years, including a 1967 MGB Roadster, which was awarded first place in the MG class of the 1975 Ellersie Intermarque Concours d’Elegance and finished third place overall. At this year’s event Ian met the car’s current owner and once again it was awarded third place overall some 38 years later!

All the staff at Kimber House would like to thank Ian for his time, and wish him all the best for the rest of his holiday.
