Race Retro 2014

THIS past weekend the MG Car Club attended Race Retro with a display stand manned by members of the Motorsport team.

The MG Car Club stand featured Richard Perry’s Midget, which Richard uses to compete in the Lackford Engineering MG Midget and Sprite Challenge.

2014 marks the 30 year anniversary of the legendary Group B Rally MG Metro 6R4, and as such there were many examples to be found on display at the show.

The Sywell Classic – Pistons & Props stand was home to a very rare special bodied K3 Magnette; the ex-reg. Parnell K3, which was fitted with a McEvoy twin-cam head in 1937. The car started life as a regular two-seat K3 and was successfully raced before and after the war.
