With an MG badge they were a sprightly twin carburettor version of the popular front wheel drive Austin Morris saloons produced between 1962 and 1972. With a 1098 OHV engine and front disc brakes and hydroeleastic suspension, the Mk 2 followed in 1967 with the 1300 a year later and then the 1300GT in 1969.
