NEC Classic Motor Show 2015
First of all we would like to thank everyone that visited our stand at the NEC this weekend – including all of current members who came to support us, the new members that joined up, and the rest who showed a great interest in the club and the cars.
It was a successful and enjoyable weekend where the club celebrated its 85th Birthday with six cars on show. Alongside two racing MGs – the TC and the NA Magnette, we had an MGF on the stand, an MG Midget, MGB GT, and Jean Denton’s 1968 London to Sydney Marathon MGB of whom Peter Smith, the man that originally helped build the car back in 1968, posed for a photo alongside his wife Sharon.
At lunchtime on all three days, TV presenter Ant Antstead kindly cut our 85th Birthday cakes and spread the word of the club to a large and cake-hungry audience. Extra words came from General Manager Adam Sloman, President John Day, and Wheeler Dealers presenter Edd China.
