MGCC at Oulton Park – Round 5 Race Report

AFTER a lengthy summer break from the racing scene, the MG Car Club returned to the track at Oulton Park on Saturday 7th September, for the fifth round of their racing exploits.

The weather held out for what was an eventful day, with some fantastic racing throughout.

As always, special thanks go out to all those without whom the meeting could not go ahead. From the organising and admin team, the Clerks and Stewards, the timekeepers, the Medics and Rescue units, the competitors and their teams, and last but not least, the marshals. For this particular meeting, the Club had a record number of marshals, approx. 280, and it was down to their hard work that ensured the meeting finished on time.

Unsurprisingly for such a scenic circuit there was a brilliant number of spectators enjoying the race action and incredible selection of MGs on display.

After a great season so far, it is sad to say that we are quickly finding ourselves at the end of the season. We look forward to seeing you all at the next and final round at Snetterton on 5th-6th October.
