Former champ returns to the MG Trophy

The all-time most successful MG Trophy driver, Chris Bray, will make an emotional return to the Championship for the MGCC meeting at Brands Hatch on April 28-29.

Bray holds the record of the most race wins since the inception of the championship back in 1998, racking up an impressive 44 victories. In nine years, he’s notched up three overall championship titles, three second and two third places.

MG Trophy Championship chairman Pete Macwaters said: “It’s great to see Chris out racing again this season. He did a guest drive at Knockhill last year and I could see he was enjoying it after officially retiring at the end of the 2016 season. We will have more of the Class A 190 cars racing this year and Chris’s return in his Class A car adds a lot of anticipated excitement back to our fastest class.

“To date we have 10 drivers confirmed in class A with possibly two more still to register, so this will totally revitalise the top end of the championship.”
