History of Car and any work or modifications carried out: Having owned a GAN4 (JUC677D) in my early twenties, FYD600K was bought privately from Yeovil. It had parked outside my office window for a couple of years and rode on Revolution Wheels – a want for my first Midget that was unaffordable at the time. A two owner car, its first owner was apparently an American Officer on an exchange: he had sprinted and hill climbed it. After quickly discovering it probably used more oil and petrol per mile the body was fettled and the engine replaced. Thirty two years later, three accidents and various other panel repairs, it now sports its original engine again albeit to Oselli fast road specification. Other mods include and electric fan, 5 speed gearbox, 1 1/2″ SU’s, competition exhaust, negative camber front wishbones, panhard rod and spax rear shock absorbers. Interior remains much as MG intended. Removed from Somerset in 1994 it returned to its homeland in 2010 and never fails to put a smile on the face of its increasingly aged driver !!
