MGs on Track 2014 Calendar

MGs on TRACK, the Car Club’s branch responsible for organising track days have put together a cracking calendar for 2014!

As 2014 looms nearer below are three dates to kick start your new year.

Bedford
This day is run at the Bedford Autodrome GP circuit allowing a challenging circuit which is perfect for blowing away the winter cobwebs! This event is on Saturday 25th January 2014 and is open pitlane format so we advise it as being suitable for more experienced drivers and as not suitable for first-timers.

The static & drive-by noise limit is 101dB and 87dB at 20m so you should not have any problem with passing the noise test! The cost for the day is £125 for MGoT members with instruction available at £20 per session. Booking is directly on the LoT website here.

Goodwood
Our first day at Goodwood in 2014 will be held on Saturday 22nd February 2014. It flurried with snow last year – a fantastic experience driving the Lavant Straight in excess of 100mph into snow flakes! Lets hope for dry weather again as this is always a very popular event and sells out quickly.

This event will be opened for booking mid-day on Monday 16th December 2013 at a cost of £145 for MGCC members (£155 non-members) with instruction and coaching available as usual. Please note that we run lunchtime parade laps in conjunction with the MGOC at this event so the last session prior to lunch will be 5 minutes shorter to allow for the parade laps.

Silverstone GP
This year we return to the Silverstone GP circuit on Monday 17th March 2014. In the last two years we have had a) a heatwave and b) deep snow, so the bets are on for the weather this year. Anyway, this is advance notice that this popular event will be opened for booking on Friday January 3rd 2014. Please note that due to the terms of the circuit hire contract with Silverstone, no first-timers are permitted to attend this event. Costs and all other further details will be posted on our website nearer to the event opening date.
