MG celebrates sales success and awards triumph
The MG4 EV has sold more than 20,000 units in 2023 to date, reaching the milestone in November, and securing two more awards in the process.
New figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show that the multi-award winning EV finished the month as the second best-selling electric car in November 2023, with 1,760 sales. This sees MG Motor UK counter a challenging month for the EV market, which experienced a rare decline in sales compared to last year.
MG’s all-electric sales topped 2,000 units in November, making up one in ten of all EVs sold during the past month.
With the MG4 EV’s popularity clear to see, MG Motor UK is celebrating two new awards for the electric hatchback, which further reinforce its excellent value for money offering. The Electrifying.com annual awards picked the MG4 EV for two of its eleven categories – Salary Sacrifice Car of the Year and Money Saving Electric Car of the Year.
Guy Pigounakis, MG Motor UK’s Commercial Director, said: “We are delighted with the MG4 EV’s performance this year, both in terms of sales and popularity. Customers are recognising the MG4’s value, practicality, efficiency, and style, as are the UK’s motoring press.
“With a broad product line-up – from the accessible SE, through the high-value Long Range and distance-champion Extended Range, topping out with the XPOWER – we believe the MG4 EV has one of the most versatile ranges in the electric car market. At present, the MG4 EV’s affordability credentials are also further enhanced with a 0% finance offer on SE and Long Range models.” The MG4 EV has now secured more than 30 award wins since its debut last year, including an impressive nine overall ‘Car of the Year’ titles.
