The MG Car Club is proud to announce that it has won the prestigious Event/Run of the Year 2024 award at the National Car Club Awards, held at the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show on Saturday March 22nd 2025. The award recognises the outstanding success of the MG Car Club MG100 events.

The MG100 events were truly a nationwide celebration, during the MG100 cavalcade it brought together Club members from across the UK in an extraordinary display of camaraderie and passion for MG and the Club. This was a highlight of the year, which saw members pass the symbolic ‘Cecil’ the MG100 baton from John O’Groats to Land’s End, creating an unforgettable journey of unity and enthusiasm.

A key part of this celebration was the MG100 event at Brooklands, organised by the South East Centre, which played a vital role in the success of MG100.

Beyond celebrating MG’s rich history, the event also made a meaningful impact, raising over £4,000 for LUPUS UK and the Alzheimer’s Society – a fantastic achievement for two worthy causes.

The MG Car Club extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants, supporters, and donors who made this event possible. This award is a testament to their dedication and enthusiasm.
