Julian White leaves the MG Car Club
Today marks former General Manager Julian White’s last day at Kimber House as he steps into retirement.
Julian has been with the Club for almost seven years, joining on the 6th January 2009, and in that time has gone on to become a valued member of staff at Kimber House and a brilliant ambassador for the Club on a worldwide scale.
Well the day has finally arrived when I must hang up my MG Car Club badge and retire.
People have often asked me what it’s like to have the best job in the world, and I am never sure how to answer. It is the best job and I feel privileged to have been able to represent the Club in so many areas. It has not always been plain sailing, but without a doubt the people are what have made this club and my time with it.
I am overwhelmed by all the messages I have received from my MG friends around the world with particular thanks to John Day, Bill Silcock, Ian Quarrington and all our Directors both past and present that I have worked with over the last seven years.
Of course very special thanks to the great team at Kimber House for supporting me in my mission.
I have many fond memories to take with me. I cannot possibly list them all but ones that come immediately to mind include the John Thornley Suite, the MG garden, all the CRB events I have attended, the relationship with China, MGLive! and in particular winning an award for MGLive! in 2011, and so much more.
I am sure I will resurface in some sort of voluntary capacity with the MGCC in due course and look forward to seeing many of you at MGLive! next year.
MG Car Club really does stand for the ‘Marque of Friendship’.
Safety Fast,
Julian
The Club wishes Julian all of the best for future endeavours, and thanks him for all the work he’s done over the past seven years.
