‘Engines For MG’s’ Added To Members Area

The members section of the website has recently been updated to include the ‘Engines For MG’s’ PDF eBook.

It’s an extensive 82-page guide on engines for MG’s dating back from 1935 up until 1998. Author Neil Cairns is the Y-Type Register Technical Advisor, and has been a member of the club for several years.

An exert from the book’s introduction is detailed below:

‘There are lots of pretty MG books about, full of excellent photographs and text, that gloss over important technical parts, or simply do not mention them. Others go too deep and lose the reader in a morass of figures and graphs’.

‘The simple aim of this book is to get round the difficulty of finding out that odd bit of information you know you saw somewhere. This is not a historical epistle, nor is it a life story of MG, but if you like engines, and those of MG cars in particular, and their roots, read on’.
