T Register at the Brooklands Summer Classic Gathering and Autojumble

The T Register in the form of our own Alan Wakefield is organising space for a display of T Types at the Brooklands Summer Classic Gathering and Autojumble event on 28 July. This is an annual event in the Brooklands calendar and is a chance for anyone to bring a Classic. Please contact Alan Wakefield to apply for windscreen passes, for which you will need either a valid Brooklands membership card, or have pre booked a per-person entry ticket via the Brooklands web site. There will be a Brooklands Award in each category for best presented vehicles, as well as a special Club stand award and Overall Car of the Show. T Register Autumn Tour 2024

The 2024 Autumn Tour to will be to Mid Wales, and has been booked for 3rd – 6th September 2024. The venue will be the Metropole Hotel & Spa in Llandrindod Wells. This historic motoring hotel has been the venue for many events. There are numerous opportunities to explore the magnificent countryside and we’ll design routes to make the most of this. As usual, there will be road runs organised for both the Wednesday and Thursday. The MGCC SUV Register will be holding its 2024 AGM in-person and via Microsoft Teams on Saturday 20th July 2024 at 11.00 AM to elect/re-elect committee members. A full agenda will be published ahead of the meeting. The AGM will take place at Kimber House (the headquarters of the MG Car Club), 10 Cemetery Road, Abingdon, Oxon, OX14 1AS. If you wish to participate in the AGM please email your details to suvregister@mgcc.co.uk along with your membership number so we are aware of who is planning to attend in person or remotely. We will then send out the conferencing link to remote attendees closer to the time. As well as expressions of interest to stand for election to existing committee roles (Chair, Treasurer, Secretary), we welcome your proposals for the creation of new committee roles, which will also be discussed and voted on as part of the AGM. MG100 Cavalcade – John O’Groats to Land’s End

Although the JOGLE Cavalcade event finished on 25 May 2024, the end date of the event has been artificially extended to May 2025 for it to be continued to view (and linked to Google!). The information about this event has appeared in the March edition of Safety Fast! and there is also a News item on the MG Car Club website. The event will take place between Tuesday 30th April and Saturday 25th May. As we continue the celebration of 100 years of MG in 2024, for the enjoyment of members throughout the country our goal is to link all regions of the UK and all parts of our Club in celebrating with a Centenary led expression of the ‘Marque of Friendship’.
