MGLive! Concours and Pride of Ownership

MGLive! will play host to a Concours and Pride of Ownership competition on Sunday 18th June, both supported by Meguiar’s, at Silverstone Circuit.

The winning car from the concours competition goes on to represent the MG Car Club in the Meguiar’s Club Showcase competition at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show in November.

General Manager Adam Sloman said: “We use the Concours as a way to encourage the preservation of original MGs and to set the standard for future generations of members.

“It also provides a first-hand reference for those enthusiasts rebuilding their cars. It is always a hotly contested competition.”

The Concours Classes cover six classes, split into age groups and model types such as Roadsters, Saloons and Premier Class.

The Pride of Ownership is open to all models and encourages members to take pride in their MG and present it to best advantage. The spirit of the competition is to encourage new entrants. The Classes cover 13 different model groups including MGF, T-Types, ZR/ZS/ZT series and Vintage.

Supported by Meguiar’s, the MGLive! 2017 Concours and Pride of Ownership are both free to enter – for the concours, you need to book in advance through the Club’s MGLive! ticket shop.

For the Pride of Ownership competition, you can either book in advance through the Club’s MGLive! ticket shop or enter on the day. For either competition, cars must be driven to and from the event.
