What’s on this weekend: Easter Weekend 25th – 28th March
Below are a list of events going on this weekend, but if you find yourself out and about in your MG doing something else, use the hashtag #MGCCweekend on any photos or posts that you upload on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. We want to see what you’re up to!
Magnettes & Steam, MGCC: Magnette Register – Saturday 26th March
The venue for 2016 is Rowsley South Station on the Peak Rail line, part of the former Derby-Manchester route through the Peak District, which offers a 3-1/2 mile scenic steam or diesel service from Rowsley to Matlock. Start time is 10am (trains from 11.15), and although there’s no need to book it would be very helpful to have numbers in advance, so we can get a discount on fares. Please contact Stephen Tickell (tel. 01737 760330 or stephen.tickell@gmail.com). Stephen Coates has compiled a list of local B&Bs and other accommodation which is available HERE. He and David Griffiths are also willing to organise a Saturday night dinner booking if sufficient people express an interest. If you’re making a weekend of it, you may like to visit nearby attractions such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall or Crich Tramway Village.
