Cockshoot Cup Awards Presentation 2013

THIS past weekend was the North West Centre’s Celebration Dinner Dance and Awards Presentation at the Deanwater Hotel. The evening’s proceedings included the 2013 Cockshoot Cup awards awards presentation.

The Cockshoot Cup for 2013 reached a dramatic climax at Oulton Park in early September. Going into the last race, Ian Wright, David Morrison and 2012 Champion David Coulthard were already class champions, and all had a chance of winning overall.

A superb grid of 26 cars left the line with Ian, driving his faithful Midget, having to win Class A to be Champion. Sadly, his engine failed early in the race and he was forced to retire. This left two possible contenders.

David Morrison drove superbly to win Class B for the sixth race in a row and become Cockshoot Cup Champion 2013, driving his superbly prepared red Midget.
