Celebrate Fathers Day At MGLive!
CELEBRATE this Fathers Day weekend at Silverstone with the biggest collection of MG’s in the world!
On June 15th and 16th the MG Car Club takeover Silverstone, the home of British motor racing, to lay on a two day family friendly MGLive! extravaganza celebrating more than 80 years of Britain’s most popular sports car.
Treat dad to a day out at the races with a weekend action packed full of classic motorsport racing. The paddocks will be open for you to experience all the glamour of racing!
Silverstone will be filled with a sea of MG’s, from some of the very first cars right up to the very latest.
MGLive! has something for the whole family to enjoy, and children under 16 go free.
Stunt car driver Russ Swift will be wowing the crowds with his spectacular display of how not to drive your car. This year marks Russ’ 25th year anniversary since his first show at MGLive, so we’re sure he’s got something extra special planned!
Taking to the skies we have a variety of aerial displays including National Aerobatic Champion Gerald Cooper and a fly over by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight with their Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster Bomber.
Over in the Lifestyle tent you can catch up on some retail therapy where award-winning producers will be selling everything from homemade jams to vintage clothing and jewellery.
A fleet of classic busses will be lined up ready to chauffeur visitors around the most famous circuit in the country.
MG Car Club General Manager Julian White said: “MG is Oxfordshire’s most famous export and we want everyone to celebrate the brand alongside thousands of enthusiasts this June.
“If you’ve never attended MGLive! you won’t be disappointed. You don’t have to be a petrol head to enjoy the MGLive! weekend – in fact there is something for everyone at this family friendly gathering.
“MGLive! is the event where the whole family gets together to celebrate everything that’s great about MG cars and MG people.”
