Union Jack MGF in Charity Fundraiser to Stuttgart

THIS week 24 teams from various parts of the motor industry will be doing their bit for charity in Bangers4BEN 2013.MG

One of the teams taking part is MMG Powers, who with a budget of just £500 to spend bought a 1997 MGF with 148,000 miles on the clock!

Bangers4BEN 2013 is a FOUR-day event starting at Porsche’s headquarters in Reading on Saturday, October 12, with our final destination being the Porsche museum in Stuttgart in Germany, before heading home on Tuesday, October 15.

BEN is the UK’s only charity for past and present employees in the automotive and related industries, as well as their dependants. We provide practical, emotional and financial support, as well as care for older people in our five care centres across the country.

This year sees the 50th anniversary of the legendary Porsche 911. Always one to stick its hands into its pockets for charity, Porsche have got on board with and helped out.

Along the way MMG Powers will drop in on the fearsome Nurburgring Nordschleife for a look around!

Once the rally has ended, the car we make the trip in will be sold at a special auction at Aston Barclay with all the proceeds handed over to BEN.

We’ve had huge support from Marshall Bury Nissan Bodyshop and Bee Bee Refinishing supplies who not only supplied the paint but also sent down their rock star of a designer to help mark out the bodywork for spraying.
